Quest of Past

Year of Establishment: 2021

Focal Area: Archaeology, Art & Architecture, Numismatics, Paleography & Epigraphy, Culture & Religion, Science & Technology in Ancient India, India’s cultural contacts with the outside world.

Establishment and Objectives

The key to many problems of the present or future is buried and preserved in the past. Therefore this club was established by the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology to create awareness among the younger generation about India’s rich heritage and give a platform to the students to know the roots of Indian Culture and civilization. This club aims to encourage them to share their opinion on different issues of India’s past, art, architecture, culture and religion of ancient India. The club regularly organizes special talks, writing competitions and heritage walks.

The objectives of the club are:

  • To give a platform to the students to know the roots of Indian Culture and civilization
  • To encourage them to share their opinion on different issues of India’s past
  • To create awareness among the younger generation about India’s rich heritage
