The college solemnizes the confluence of visionary ideals and objectives of Dr. Annie Besant, Shri Jiddu Krishnamurti and Bharat Ratna Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya. Maintaining its rich legacy for more than a hundred years, the college provides an opportunity to young women for quality higher education and aims to work for an inclusive society. The College continues to fulfil the vision of its founder Dr. Annie Besant that reflects the commitment of this Institution towards women education as the cornerstone for making a strong and vibrant India as she envisioned, “Educational advance among women is the only means to social reforms… the treasure of philosophy, literature, science, art must be thrown open to her as to men. …Women’s wisdom as well as men’s is needed to dig deeply and build strongly the foundations of the New India.” Enabling women to enjoy equal opportunities in professional and public fields, the college envisions women as leaders and aims to nurture educated, confident and empowered women enriched by the love of learning.

The college strives to work in an atmosphere where there is no fear, no authority, only love, affection and a healthy relationship, which is the core of Krishnamurti’s philosophy. Jiddu Krishnamurti (11 May 1885 - 17 February 1986) who is also called ‘K’ affectionately in campus, is regarded as one of the greatest thinkers of all time. He did not expound any philosophy or religion, rather talked of the things that concern all of us in our everyday lives, of the problems of living in modern society and the need for humankind to free itself from inner burdens of fear, anger, hurt and sorrow. He communicated a deep sense of respect for nature. His teaching, besides being relevant to the modern age, is timeless and universal. Based on J. Krishnamurti’s teachings who believes that “Education is freedom from conditioning” (J Krishnamurti, The Whole Movement of Life is Learning), the college remains committed to developing creative and critical thinking, nurturing innovation and excellence through education with a focus on the holistic growth of the students in an environment free from fear. This enables them to deal with life and challenges with confidence and a humanistic approach.
